What is the difference in standard depth and counter depth refrigerator?

Is there a digital compressor in this fridge?
Starting from January 1994, all GE Appliances refrigerators switched from a rotary compressor to a reciprocating compressor. None of our fridges use linear (inverter) compressors either. A reciprocating compressor is made to last for years without any issues. It’s operated by a sliding yoke actuated by a crank on a vertical shaft. The upper bearing is self-aligning, which helps prevent wear and tear.
